Carlos Galan and his sister Mar Galan — the Passion Restaurant Group team behind Crazy About You and Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita — opened this 38-seat Italian room in spring 2026 at 1000 South Miami Avenue, the former Pasta & Juliet space. The conceit is restraint: exactly ten dishes, no reservations, no phone, no fryers. A single oven turns out a Wagyu bolognese "lazy lasagna," chicken cotoletta alla Milanese, whole branzino with olive oil, lemon and rosemary, and a Caesar built on Cardini's 1924 dressing. Conceived as a tribute to Galan's mother, who died this year at 102, the room is furnished with her belongings, closer to a family dining room than a polished concept. Come for cooking that bets less is more.
