Avra Dallas
Mediterranean · Sun-soaked · The Crescent, Uptown Dallas
The Dallas outpost of Avra, the Greek seafood house founded in 2000 in Manhattan by Nick Tsoulos and Nick Pashalis, opened in September 2025 at The Crescent in Uptown — a roughly 14,000-square-foot Rockwell Group room of natural stone, linen, 300-year-old planters imported from Greece, and a glass-walled conservatory. The format is taverna-by-way-of-NYC: an iced display of whole fish (branzino, red snapper, wild Dover sole, and rarer catches like fagri) priced by the pound and grilled over charcoal with Ladolemono, plus the signature paper-thin Avra chips of fried zucchini and eggplant. D Magazine's Brian Reinhart found the kitchen uneven but the seafood genuinely strong. Come for the fish counter and the theater of the room.
