The latest from Jess Shadbolt and Annie Shi, the King and Jupiter partners who met working at London's River Café — Dean's opened March 2026 at 213 Sixth Avenue, directly next door to King in SoHo. Named for the last dayboat fisherman from Shadbolt's hometown of Aldeburgh, Suffolk, it reads as a British seafood pub built with finesse: stargazy pie, dressed crab on hot buttered crumpets, fish and chips, sticky ginger pudding. The 600-square-foot room runs to roughly two dozen seats and a six-stool bar, Douglas fir paneling and a British enamel stove standing in for nostalgia. Imperial pints of Guinness, a Black Velvet, and one of the city's longest lists of English sparkling wine round out the bar. Walk-ins welcome, particularly early.
