The dining room of Barry Sternlicht's Baccarat Hotel, the global flagship for the 255-year-old crystal house, which opened in 2015 on West 53rd Street across from MoMA. Paris designers Gilles & Boissier conceived the soaring salon — pleated Jouffre silk walls, parquet floors, and a 64-arm Baccarat chandelier at its center, with over 250 leatherbound guest books numbered from 1764. The culinary program is directed by Gabriel Kreuther, the Alsace-born, James Beard-winning chef whose own Bryant Park restaurant holds two Michelin stars, working with executive chef Ashfer Biju; the kitchen leans Alsatian and classical French across all-day dining, caviar service, and the signature afternoon tea. Come for the room and the ritual — champagne, crystal, and live jazz twice weekly.
