Mēdüzā Mediterrania is the first New York project from Noble 33, the hospitality group behind Toca Madera, Casa Madera and Sparrow Italia, co-founded by Tosh Berman and Mikey Tanha. It occupies a roughly 8,870-square-foot space at the base of the Gansevoort, on the edge of the Meatpacking District where Hudson Street meets the West Village — a glass atrium, interior trees, vaulted ceilings and a sculptural ceiling by the group's in-house Monochrome design team, often compared to a slice of Mykonos in Manhattan. The format is the group's signature high-energy dinner with live music. Order from the raw bar and robata: seafood towers, wagyu carpaccio, grilled branzino, lamb chops. Halal cuts are on the menu. Come for the scene first and the Mediterranean plates second.
