Mirae — Korean for "future" — is the upscale follow-up from John and Grace Lee, the husband-and-wife team behind the beloved Chamblee sushi bar Fudo, who opened it on Dresden Drive in Brookhaven in October 2025. Where Fudo runs casual, Mirae is the elevated counterpoint: a 5,000-square-foot room with a triple-height ceiling, stone walls, glowing wall panels modeled on those in Korean homes, and a bonsai garden at its center. The menu is modern Korean braided with broader Asian influence — shrimp toast menbosha, claypot chicken over crisp rice, Korean beef tartare, soy-infused Chilean sea bass, uni pasta. The AJC's anonymous critic called it a triumph in nearly every respect. One of Atlanta's most assured recent arrivals.
