The third act from Chase Sinzer and Joshua Pinsky, the Momofuku Ko alumni behind the East Village's Claud and Penny, Stars is a 12-seat wine bar on East 12th Street near Third Avenue that opened in December 2025. The single 450-square-foot room, designed by Studio Valle de Valle, sets a zinc-covered bar against cedar panelling and matte red marble floors in an early-20th-century tenement; a standing rail at the back stretches the space past its dozen seats. Wine director Julia Schwartz, with Sinzer, anchors a deliberately populist list — 88 bottles at $88 or less, more than 20 glasses pours from $11 to $19 — alongside small bites like chicken liver mousse and blinis with ham and maple butter. Walk-in only, Tuesday through Saturday. For a downtown wine room that meets you wherever your evening lands.
