Chicago's Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants brought Sushi-san to Nashville in November 2025 — its first location outside the Chicago area, and the group's second in the city after Aba. The menu comes from Master Sushi Chef Kaze Chan, who draws on two decades behind the counter and direct relationships with the Martinez and Yamasaki families at Tokyo's Toyosu Market. Inside the Ashwood 12 South development, a 158-seat room of light wood, leather banquettes and earthy green tones runs to an eight-seat sushi bar, a charcoal program of binchotan-roasted meats, 65 Japanese whiskies and a private-label sake brewed in Osaka. Golden-era hip-hop sets the tempo; a walk-up soft-serve window handles dessert. Come for precise sushi that doesn't take itself too seriously.
